Myra Rolen & The
Oaklawn Opry

Myra Rolen

Myra began singing at a very early age. As she grew older, she put her dreams of music on hold for marriage and a family. A few years ago, with her family's support, she began pursuing her singing again. During this time she has been actively performing at many opry's, fairs, music festivals and showcases. She has the privilege of opening for many major recording artists.

In 2007, she received 3rd runner-up in The Texas Country Music Hall of Fame Showcase. Her latest CD, recorded in Nashville, includes some favorite classic tunes and several originals penned by Bill Anderson & Tony Stampley. Besides Country music she performs Gospel music as well. She is involved in many local activities and most importantly in her church, where she is the music director. Throughout her busy schedule she has managed to further her education and is presently working on her Bachelor's Degree in Business from Texas A&M-Commerce.
