Brad Maule

Brad Maule

Brad Maule has just finished 22 years on ABC’s “ General Hospital ” in the role of Dr. Tony Jones.  After two Emmy nominations and all of those years, Brad decided that it was time to “die” on the show so that he could concentrate on his new career as a professor at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX .  He was born in Rotan, Texas and grew up on the family farm.  Brad attended a school with 150 people in 12 grades.  He graduated from Snyder High School, where he was active in the drama department, then attended college at West Texas State University, where he starred in the outdoor musical “ Texas ” in Palo Duro Canyon.

He realized that West Texas was too dry, so he moved east to Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, where he graduated. His summers were spent performing at Casa Manana in Ft Worth.  After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles.  He toured for a year with The Serendipity Singers and worked in Hawaii with Don Ho for one year.

He then moved back to Los Angeles and began working with Bobbie Gentry and Jim Nabors as a backup singer.  Maule’s first big break came in guest starring roles on the original “Charlie’s Angels”, “Three’s Company”, and “White Shadow”.  He performed Arthur’s Theme from the movie “Arthur” with Dudley Moore.  It was then that he was discovered by “General Hospital”.  He also spent 4 years on WB Network’s “7th Heaven” as Ashlee Simpson’s dad.

Mr. Maule currently hosts the weekly country music TV show Texas County Line.
